How To Register Your Sim Card Here In The Philippines. (Globe, Smart, Gomo, Dito)
Republic Act no. 11934 or the Sim Registration Act requires all existing subscribers to register their SIM card to avoid deactivation and for new subscribers to register prior to activation. Subscribers have 180 days from the effectivity of the law or until April 26, 2023 to register their SIM cards. The registration may be extended for a period not exceeding 120 days. Failure to register will result in SIM deactivation. The deactivated SIM may only be reactivated after registration, provided that reactivation will be made not later than five days after such auomatic deactivation. The law requires "All SIMs" to be registered. From mobile SIM, to broadband and eSIM - all are subject for registration. SIM registration is FREE.
SIM registration requirements for foreign nationals here in the Philippines:
Passport (i.e., copy of the bio-page and pages where the current visa is stamped or shown)
Return ticket to country of origin or to another country indicating date of departure from the Philippines (for Tourists).
Proof of address in the Philippines (booking in a hotel or other type of accommodation, or in the absence thereof, an affidavit/letter from the owner of the house or residence where such foreign national will stay)
Requirements for foreign nationals with other types of Visas:
Passport (i.e., copy of the bio-page and pages where the current visa is stamped or shown) indicating passport number, full name, and nationality
Proof of address in the Philippines (booking in a hotel or other type of accommodation, or in the absence thereof, an affidavit/letter from the owner of the house or residence where such foreign national will stay)
Other pertinent documents, whichever is applicable:
Alien Certificate of Registration Identification Card (ACR I-Card) from the Bureau of Immigration or other types of official ID issued by any other visa-issuing agency.
Alien Employment Permit from the Department of Labor and Employment or School Registration and ID for students.
For Persons of Concerns or POCs, the type of travel or admission document validly issued by the Philippine Department of Justice.
Note: Your registered SIM will only be valid for 30 days if you are a foreign tourist visiting the country, and it will be automatically canceled after that.
Here's how to register your SIM card in Globe, Smart, Gomo and Dito.
Globe (Step-by-step registration process)
Access the SIM Registration website or by visiting to “https://new.globe.com.ph/simreg”.
Enter your 10-digit mobile number (eg. 9451234567) and click the “Register” button.
If eligible to register, you’ll receive a One-Time-Pin (OTP) text message on your mobile phone.
Enter the 6-digit OTP on the registration website. Note that the OTP expires in five minutes.
After your OTP is validated you may now proceed with the registration.
Enter all required fields, such as: Name, Birthday, Gender, Address, and Nationality.
Take a selfie and select the type of government ID to be uploaded. Click the “attach” button to upload a copy of your valid government ID. (e.g. Passports, Driver’s license or
Tick the checkbox to agree with Globe’s Privacy Notice, Attestation of Completeness and Accuracy, Marketing and Promotional Permissions , and Data Sharing.
Click the “Submit” button to finish the registration process.
A reference number will appear on your screen to signify completion of registration. Please keep the reference number as proof of registration.
Smart SIM card Registration Process
Visit the portal at “https://www.smart.com.ph/simreg”.
Input your information and upload your valid ID.
Wait for an SMS confirmation and get 3 GB FREE Data.
Gomo SIM card Registration
You are considered substantially registered from the time you created your account in GOMO PH APP. All you need to do is to make sure your info is correct. Gomo will just inform you once you need to update your information, including uploading a valid government ID.
Dito SIM card Registration Process
Download the DITO APP or go to “https://www.register.dito.ph”.
Click the “Register your SIM DITO” on the APP.
Enter the required information and enter the OTP code.
Attach the government ID and take a selfie with it.
Submit the registration form.
When you are done providing all the necessary details, including uploading your government-issuded ID and selfie photo, it’s time to review and submit the information. Make sure to double-check that all the information you’ve enter is accurate.
You must also check the boxes indciated your agreement with the SIM Registration Act and the DITO’s data Privacy Statement. Once you’re confident everything is correct, simply hit the “Submit” button to complete the registration process.
Note: You must take a screenshot after completing the registration process, especially the SIM Registration number, for future reference.
